The Knicks are officially playoff bound. They swept the Cavs in a never terribly competitive four game series. Jalen Brunson averaged more than 25 points per game against the Knicks on his way to Eastern Conference finals MVP honors.

The Spurs will face off against the Thunder in a more tightly contested conference. We’ll take a look at that shortly. First, let’s see how yesterday’s picks performed.

Last Night’s Featured bets delivered with 2 hits and 1 void.

Yesterday, we wrote that anyone in the NBA can get 2 rebounds. That’s true—if they play. Dennis Schroder didn’t. He was out for illness, voiding our first line in the process.

Landry Shamet made up for it a bit with a 16 point game. He shot an impressive 83% from the field.

Finally, Miles McBride. He scored 11 points, shooting 67% from the field.

For the record, we still think Schroder would have had a good chance of getting those 2 rebounds. As it stands, we still didn’t log any Ls today. How did your picks do?

Single-prop angles where our model shows higher probability than the odds reflect.

Keldon Johnson has been averaging 3 rebounds per game so far throughout this series against the Thunder. He’s capable of 4—and actually averaged 5 during the regular season.

If you’re only going to focus on one rebounding line today, you might instead look at this one. Luke Kornet has been averaging nearly 4 rebounds per game against the Thunder in the playoffs.

He was averaging 6 during the regular season.

Kornet’s minutes have dipped a little recently. He averaged 22 minutes per game during the regular season. He’s been at around 13 for the playoffs. Obviously, the more he plays, the better the odds are that he’ll meet the line. That said, it’s a figure he can manage just through normal utilization.

Finally, Dylan Harper has averaged 12 points per game during this current series against the Cavs. He’s been shooting close to 42% from the field. Not a sure thing by any means, but very plausible as long as he’s getting his looks.

Today’s Parlays

Multiple edges combined into one value-driven parlay.

We’ve got a nine legged parlay at +39980. Let’s take a look.

  • Jared McCain-Under 11.5 Total Points

  • Luke Kornet-Over 4.5 Total Rebounds

  • De'Aaron Fox-Over 15.5 Total Points

  • Chet Holmgren-Over 14.5 Total Points

  • Keldon Johnson-Over 7.5 Total Points

  • Luke Kornet-Over 4.5 Total Points

  • Julian Champagnie-Over 9.5 Total Points

  • Luguentz Dort-Over 6.5 Total Points

  • Alex Caruso-Under 8.5 Total Points

Settle in. This one will take awhile.

Jared McCain has been averaging 8 points for the post-season, but he’s been closer to 12 over the last few games. It’s really all about how he shoots from the field. On games when his scoring has pushed into double digits, it’s been on the strength of 50-70% shooting. A more average night will help him meet this under.

We already mentioned Luke Kornet’s potential as a rebounder. He doesn’t play a ton these days, but can collect lots of boards even in limited minutes.

He’s also averaged 6 points over his last ten games.

De’Aaron Fox has been extremely steady at near 18 points for the entire season. Shooting nearly 50% on average from the field, he should have a straightforward path to 16 points, provided his averages hold.

Chet Holmgren at 15 or over is a slightly tighter line. He has average 11 against the Spurs during this series. He’s very capable of pushing things further. We’ll just want to see a good shot volume and steady FG%.

Keldon Johnson has been averaging 8 points per game during the post-season. He’s been closer to 9 against the Thunder. All of this, while shooting a cold 31% from the field.

Julian Champagnie has been averaging 8 points against the Thunder. We’ll need a little more from him. He can find his way to double digits by sorting out his shooting a little. He’s been averaging under 30% over his last five games. During the regular season, he was closer to 45%.

Luguentz Dort has also been playing beneath his potential. He’s averaged only 4 points per game against the Spurs. In his case, it’s mostly a volume issue. He’s only been taking 3-4 shots per game recently. We’d love to see that figure push into double digits.

Finally, Alex Caruso. Caruso was scoreless in his last outing. Maybe hunger will push him to 9 points or more today. He’s averaged 16 points per game throughout this series against the Spurs.

Parlays that involve most of the NBA are always going to be low-probability. Still, if you want to add a little adventure to your day, this could be a fun one to consider.
