Lebron James suffered a historic loss last night against the Rockets. The Lakers had the chance to clench at home but lost by 6 points. It marked the first time since 2008 that James lost a closeout game at home.

The first round of playoff basketball has been full of interesting stories. We will take a look at a few more of them today. First, let’s see how yesterday’s picks did.

Last Night’s Featured bets delivered with 3 hits and 0 misses.

Sam Merrill cleared our over by one in a 9 point performance that saw him shoot nearly 67% from the floor.

Austin Reaves, meanwhile, returned from injury at what appeared to be full strength. He scored 22 points, all while shooting at a tepid 25%.

And we also got 8 points out of Jaylon Tyson! He played for only thirteen minutes, but made good use of every look he got, shooting 60% from the field.

Love a perfect record! How did your picks do?

Single-prop angles where our model shows higher probability than the odds reflect.

Nikola Vucevic has been sporting a softer scoring line lately. The Celtics’ center averaged 15 points per game over the regular season.

He’s been at 7 for his last ten games. The biggest difference has been play time. He had been getting around 30 minutes at the start of the season. Now, he’s closer to 15. That said, he should still clear the over with enough volume.

Dyson Daniels has a cleaner path to his over. His been scoring around 14 points over his last ten games, off 52% shooting. Naturally, that doesn’t guarantee a 10 point game but it certainly makes a good case for one.

Payton Pritchard at 14 points is, on paper, the easiest yes we’ve got here today. He’s been averaging closer to 20 points per game over his last ten performances off 53% shooting.

The only caveat is that he’s struggled slightly against Philly. Pritchard has averaged about 9 points per game against the 76ers this season.

Today’s Parlays

Multiple edges combined into one value-driven parlay.

We’ve got a three legged parlay at +600.

The Joker has been grabbing rebounds at an almost unnatural clip lately. He’s averaged 15 over the last ten games, and given no sign of slowing down.

Aaron Gordon has been putting up around 14 points over his last ten games off of 48% shooting. He’s got an even better record against the Timberwolves, putting up 16 points per matchup this season.

Bruce Brown is also coming into tonight’s game with a strong offensive record. His recent 53% shooting has led to a 10 point average over his last ten games. His scoring line against the Timberwolves has been a little softer. He’s averaged only 6 points per game against them this season.
