The Pistons are crying foul—literally—after a controversial no-call in overtime deprived Ausar Thompson a chance to help them pull ahead at the line. Naturally, no one likes a bad call. Still, basketball games are rarely so simple that the outcome can be attributed to a single decision.

The Pistons are down 3-2 for the series.

We’ve got more playoff coverage today. First, let’s take a look at how yesterday’s picks did.

Last Night’s Featured bets delivered with 1 hit and 2 misses.

Jaylon Tyson didn’t do much of anything last night. His stat line is full of zeroes after only three minutes of playtime.

Dean Wade was also scoreless, though he can’t blame playtime. He was on the court for twenty three minutes but contributed no points.

Sam Merrill managed to scrape together a win for us. We needed 6 points out of him and that is exactly what we got.

It’s never fun to log a losing record, but in prop betting, it’s an occasional inevitability. How did you do?

Playoff Recap

It’s been a wild ride so far. Let’s look back at the NBA Playoffs to this point.

The playoffs, to this point, have perfectly embodied basketball at its best. Every possession, every call, matters in a setting where the stakes are as high as they get, and the competition is the best in the world.

The Pistons felt that just last night when a single questionable call put an end to their overtime ambitions.

It’s fair to say that right now the Thunder is in the driver’s seat. They’re undefeated so far this post-season, having just recently swept the Lakers. A series, by the way, that could well have been the last for Lebron James.

Then again, this is the post-season, where truly anything can happen. The defending champs may have had a compelling run to this point. That doesn’t mean they’ll make it out of their next series.

There’s no predicting what will happen in June. Right now, we’re just enjoying what has been, to this point, a wild ride.

Inside Propsguru

Here’s an inside look at how our Featured Bets really work.

At Propsguru, Featured Bets are a core element of what we do. If you read our newsletter regularly, you see them every day. And while they don’t always pan out (they didn’t yesterday) we’re proud to have a strong overall record.

But how do we develop these picks?

Featured Bets are built around how our model expects an entire game to unfold, using matchup dynamics, pace, injuries, efficiency, recent form, and market pricing to surface the strongest overall edge.

Instead of scanning endless props and guessing which angles matter most, bettors get a focused, game-level opportunity supported by multiple layers of analysis.

It’s a more structured, data-driven way to approach betting without relying purely on trends or market noise. If you’d like more information on how we do things, take a look at our blog. We’ve got an entire article on our Featured Bets process.
