The Thunder took Game 5. SGA began things a little rocky—turning the ball over several times in the first quarter. He self-corrected pretty quickly, and the Thunder maintained control for the rest of the game.

The series is far from over. That said, the Spurs have no margin for error at this point.

There are no games today. Instead of covering props, we will take a look at where things currently stand in the post-season. First, let’s see how yesterday’s picks did.

We didn’t hit with Dylan Harper either. He clocked 5 points in a night of cold, 20% shooting from the field.

It’s been a wild ride up until this point. The Knicks have already clenched their spot in the Finals. They swept the Cavs on their way to their first conference title since 1999.

Right now, the Thunder are still favored to win the Western Conference title. They do have momentum on their side. The defending champions are one up in a tight contest against the Spurs.

They need only one more win to secure their spot in the Finals.

Naturally, that is a good position to be in. That said, it would be foolish to count the Spurs out. They’ve got a deep bench, and more than a little star power in the form of Victor Wembanyama.

And don’t forget that the Spurs are far from underdogs in all of this. They finished the season in 2nd place for their conference and have shown no signs of slowing down.

Can they win back to back games to close out a tightly contested series? We don’t know. That said, we certainly wouldn’t count them out.
