It took forty-four years, but the 76ers have finally defeated the Celtics in a playoff series. Joel Embiid led his team to a narrow 109-100 win that clenched them the series.

The first round of the playoffs produced many worthwhile stories. Here’s hoping for more excitement to come.

Some of that excitement may be headed our way soon. We’ve got more props to look at. First, let’s see how yesterday’s picks went.

Last Night’s Featured bets delivered with 3 hits and 0 misses.

Derrick White had a big, 26 point game. It wasn’t enough to help his team to the next round of the playoffs. It was enough to clear our over.

Payton Pritchard’s performance tells a similar story. He contributed 13 points to the Celtics losing performance, again giving us another tally for our win column.

And Jaylen Brown might have been a bit salty after last night’s loss—he publicly complained about the refs, and accused Joel Embiid of “flopping around”—but he played well. Brown scored 33 points off 44% shooting.

The Celtics might not have had much fun last night, but we sure did. How did your picks go?

Single-prop angles where our model shows higher probability than the odds reflect.

Dennis Shroder has been right at 8 points over his last ten games. That’s enough to clear the over, but doesn’t leave much room for error. The good news is that he is averaging 16 points against Toronto, suggesting that he’s consistently able to find favorable matchups against this team.

James Harden is easier still. He’s been averaging mid to upper 20s all season, and has been consistently threatening 30 throughout the post-season. An over 21 can still be a tall order, but it’s very much within the realm of possibility.

Finally, we’ve got Max Strus averaging 13 points in his last ten games off 45% shooting. While there are no sure things, it’s definitely a stat line we are comfortable with.

Today’s Parlays

Multiple edges combined into one value-driven parlay.

We’ve got a three legged parlay at +562.

The under on Scottie Barnes is right within range. He’s averaged 15 points over his last ten games, though he’s sitting on 20 against Cleveland for the season.

RJ Barrett is a similar case, though this under does take us uncomfortably close to the edge of his averages. Barrett has been at 21 points over his last ten games, though he’s averaged 14 against Cleveland.

James Harden at 22 points rounds this parlay out. The veteran guard has been averaging 19 points over his last ten off cool 35% shooting. However, he’s put up an average of 30 points against Toronto.

Like any good parlay, each piece is very plausible. The difficult part is deciding if all three things will happen in one night.
