Happy Friday folks, and welcome back to Props Daily.
The World Cup knockout rounds are now well underway, and we’d love to know how you’re enjoying the tournament so far. There have already been plenty of surprises, dramatic finishes, and underdog stories as the field continues to narrow toward the final.
While the World Cup has been taking center stage, we’ve been busy behind the scenes at Propsguru.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been reviewing model performance, refining our MLS projections ahead of the league’s return, and continuing development on our NFL models as the season approaches. From player usage and matchup data to game-state modeling and prop simulations, we’ve been focused on making the platform stronger for the months ahead.
MLS action returns soon, NFL kickoff is getting closer, and we’re excited to start sharing more of what we’ve been building soon. Stay Tuned.
Let’s also take a look at some of the biggest stories from the World Cup knockout stage.
World Cup Knockout Stories
The knockout rounds have already given us a lot.
The US are still rolling after beating Bosnia and Herzegovina, and now have Belgium waiting in the Round of 16. That should be one of the best tests of their tournament so far.
Canada are also through after beating South Africa, setting up a Round of 16 matchup with Morocco. For a team playing at home, that is exactly the kind of run that can start to feel bigger with every game.
Germany are out after losing to Paraguay on penalties, which is easily one of the biggest shocks of the tournament so far.
Morocco also knocked out the Netherlands on penalties, continuing what has been another strong tournament run for them.
France handled Sweden comfortably, Brazil got past Japan, and Mexico kept moving with a clean win over Ecuador.
The bracket is starting to tighten now, and the next round has some serious matchups ahead. Spain vs Portugal. USA vs Belgium. Canada vs Morocco. Mexico vs England.
This is where the tournament starts to feel real.
That’s it for today
