The Thunder are officially on their way to round two of the playoffs. That, plus the leagues’ new proposal on anti-tanking contributed to a newsworthy Tuesday.

Should teams be held to clearer expectations when it comes to how they approach draft positioning? Many fans are tired of watching their favorite teams phone it in in the hopes of nabbing a better draft pick. This proposal could fix that.

Today, we’ve got more action to cover. First, let’s see how yesterday’s picks did!

Last Night’s Featured bets went 1-2.

Donovan Clingan had a respectable evening, but his 5 rebounds weren’t enough to clear our over. We didn’t have luck with Mikal Bridges either. His 7 point performance simply didn’t generate enough looks.

Keldon Johnson kept us from striking out entirely. He nabbed 5 rebounds in 18 minutes of playtime against the Trail Blazers.

Not quite the night we were after, but we’ve been on a winning streak lately. We were bound to take a beating eventually. How did your picks do?

Single-prop angles where our model shows higher probability than the odds reflect.

Sam Merrill has been playing with a bit of a cold hand recently. He shot 46% from the field throughout the regular season, but has been sitting at 37% over the last ten games. It’s still been enough to amount to 11 points per game. He can find his way to 8 points without anything remarkable happening.

That said, if he could heat up a little, it would be all the better.

Austin Reaves has been questionable lately. He hasn’t played since 4/2. The Lakers hope to have him for tonight’s game. If he can play, we’ll need to hope he returns in usual form. In his last ten games he was averaging 20 points per game on 44% shooting before his injury.

And you’ve got to love a 6.5 or over scoring line. We’ve said it before. Any NBA player can clear that line under the right circumstances.

For Jaylon Tyson, it shouldn’t even be particularly hard. He’s had a few low-scoring games recently. However, he’s still averaging nearly 17 points on 42% shooting over his last ten games. We just need a normal night from him.

Today’s Parlays

Multiple edges combined into one value-driven parlay.

We’ve got a three legged parlay at +525.

As mentioned earlier, Austin Reaves is very capable of hitting 18 points. We just need a normal, healthy night from him to meet the first leg of this over.

Then there is Jaxon Hayes. He’s averaged 15 points per game over his last ten outings, but only 0.5 points against the Rockets for the season. It’s interesting. He’s been getting reasonable minutes, and shooting around 50%. It’s mostly been a question of volume. He’ll need looks to clear this over.

Finally, a comfortable under on Marcus Smart. He’s been averaging only 9 points per game for the season, and 5 over his last ten games.

He did have a few 20+ point games recently. There’s your reminder that in the NBA, anyone can go off. Still, it’s a reasonable line that rounds out a very plausible parlay.

That’s it for today
