Welcome, folks, to the first day of the 2026 NFL season. Naturally, we have a lot to cover, but before we get into the nitty-gritty, let's go over how the newsletter works.
If you've been following along for the last few weeks, you've likely gotten used to a steady stream of news concerning league updates, roster developments, and even the occasional slice of gossip. While timely updates will continue to find their way into your inbox, a bigger focus will be placed from here on out on the props themselves.
Each day will provide three featured picks concerning individual player props along with a parlay. The next day, we will review the outcome of our individual player prop recommendations and provide more props.
Sound like a good deal? Let's get into it, shall we?

Today’s Featured Bets
These are single-prop angles where our model shows higher probability than the odds reflect.

First, we've got Drake Maye to get under 21 pass completions. Maye plays quarterback for the New England Patriots. Obviously, because the season has only just started, our data on Maye's completions per game dates all the way back to January.
We can say that he was under 21 pass completions in four of his last five games of the 2025 season.
We've also got an over on Sam Darnold to manage at least 20 completions. He did so in two of his last five games of the 2025 season.
We've also got an over on pass attempts for Sam Darnold. We're hoping for more than 30. He did manage exactly that in two of his last five showings.
Naturally, folks, data that came from a time when you still had your Christmas lights up might not feel particularly assuring in this September heat. Be confident that the numbers will get considerably fresher as the season progresses.
Today’s Parlays

We've also got a two-legged parlay featuring Drake Maye at under 20.5 pass completions and Sam Darnold at over 19.5 pass completions. Short odds on this one at +231.
We already described Drake Maye's recent performance. For a reminder, he's been under 20.5 completions in four of his last five games.
We've also already taken a look at Sam Darnold. Darnold has cleared the 20 mark in two of his last five.
Again, recency is certainly an issue here, but keep in mind that both men are capable of meeting their lines. From a probability perspective, it's pretty solid.
