Happy Tuesday!

If you went to bed early last night, you didn’t miss the close game we thought we were getting.

Rams-Giants was supposed to be a good one, but then Jaxson Dart took a big hit to the knee on the opening drive and had to leave the game.

Which meant a whole lot of Jameis Winston, and he gave us about as Jameis Winston a performance as you could ask for. He finished 11/27 for 111 yards, including a turnover in the end zone.

From there, Matthew Stafford didn’t look back. He and Davante Adams took over, the Rams bounced back from that tough trip to Australia, and Aaron Donald got his homecoming win.

That was all she wrote for Monday Night Football. Now we can turn our attention to Thursday.

But first, let’s get into how our props did.

We went 2–1 on our Monday Night Football Featured Bets.

Jaxson Dart under 31.5 pass attempts was the first one home, although definitely not in the way we expected. Dart took a big hit on the opening drive and left the game after just five attempts.

For Stafford, we were backing the Rams to put the ball in his hands. Over 21.5 completions hit with 22, but over 32.5 attempts fell just short as he finished with 31.

The game script ultimately worked against that last one. Los Angeles had complete control late, and Stafford spent most of the final four minutes handing the ball off and running out the clock. With the game already over, there was simply no reason for the Rams to keep throwing.

Two wins, one very close loss to finish Monday night 2–1.

We’re only two weeks into the season and several teams are already being forced to rethink things at quarterback.

The biggest concern right now might be Jayden Daniels.

He dislocated his left elbow against Dallas on Sunday, the same elbow he dislocated last season. X-rays showed no fracture, but he has undergone further imaging and is meeting with specialists. Washington has already confirmed Marcus Mariota will start against Seattle, with no timetable yet for Daniels’ return.

Then there’s Caleb Williams, whose injury has become something of a Twitter meme.
He went down while scrambling late against Minnesota and had to be carted off, although the news since has been considerably better than his initial reaction suggested.

Chicago says Williams has a right hamstring injury and is week-to-week. Ben Johnson doesn’t expect him to practice this week, which could put Tyson Bagent in line to face Philadelphia on Monday night.

And now Jaxson Dart joins the list. Dart injured his left knee on the Giants’ opening possession against the Rams and never returned, finishing his night after only five pass attempts. Initial exams indicate a possible sprained MCL, with X-rays negative and an MRI being used to determine the extent of the injury. Jameis Winston took over Monday night and is expected to be the next man up if Dart misses time.

Seattle has already experienced life without Sam Darnold. A soft-tissue injury kept him out of Week 2, opening the door for Drew Lock. The good news for Seattle is that Darnold is expected back at practice on Wednesday and remains the starter when healthy. Lock has at least given them a pretty comfortable insurance policy in the meantime.

And then there’s Atlanta, where calling it a quarterback carousel might be underselling it.

The Falcons originally named Tua Tagovailoa their Week 1 starter while Michael Penix Jr. continued working his way back from the ACL tear that ended his 2025 season.

Tua then suffered an oblique injury before the opener, leaving Cooper Rush to start the first two games. Rush struggled, rookie Jack Strand also saw the field, and now Atlanta is going back to Penix. He’s been named the starter for Thursday night against Green Bay in what will be his first start since that ACL tear.

So after only two weeks, we could already be looking at Mariota for Daniels, Bagent for Williams, Winston for Dart, Lock temporarily replacing Darnold, and Penix becoming Atlanta’s third starting quarterback of the season.

Not exactly the quarterback stability everyone was hoping for in September.

And for us, all of this matters as we surface more passing attempts and completions props. A change at quarterback can completely change how a team approaches the passing game, but it can also change the game script for the quarterback on the other sideline.

We saw that Monday night. Once Dart went down and the Giants struggled to move the ball, the Rams had little reason to keep Stafford throwing late. He finished with 31 attempts, just short of the 32.5 line.

As more of these props hit the board, we’ll be paying close attention to quarterback availability and what these changes mean for passing volume and game script.

That’s it for today, folks.

One quick question before we go. We’re still figuring out the best time to send Props Daily on game days versus quieter days like today.

Sundays feel pretty straightforward. Noon ET gives you enough time to read through everything before the 1 PM games. But on days without games, would you rather get Props Daily around noon or later in the day, around 5 PM?

12 PM or 5 PM? Hit reply and let us know.
