The Knicks have completed their historic post-season run with a trophy. In a 94-90 finish, they closed out the series with a 4-1 record.

Finals MVP Jalen Brunson helped lead them to victory with a 45 point performance. Not only did he set a Knicks record for scoring but he produced the third most points ever in a closeout game.

The Knicks end their campaign with the second best record since the NBA switched to a seven game format in 2003. Only the Golden State Warriors have ever outperformed their 16-3 record. They finished 16-1 on their way to the 2017 Championship.

It was yet another close game. They Spurs went into another half holding the lead. Once again, things fell apart in the fourth quarter, when the Knicks outscored them by 11 points to clench the title.

Wemby, in a post-game interview, described the loss as “the biggest lesson” of his life. It’s easy to believe that that lesson will help propel him to greater heights eventually.

For now, the NBA season is over. That means no props for you today. We will take a look at how yesterday’s picks did, then share a little news. Let’s get into it.

Last Night’s Featured bets delivered with 0 hits and 3 misses.

Luke Kornet played for just ten minutes and contributed just 2 rebounds. We needed 3. He was listed as questionable going into the game, which means that a nagging injury might have contributed to the quiet performance.

We missed on De’Aaron Fox, whose slow start culminated in a quiet 7 point performance. Charles Barkley weighed in to say that the Spurs should bench their star guard.

Indeed, San Antonio might have benefited from someone who could improve upon Fox’s 20% shooting. On our end, we just needed him to make a few more shots.

And Mitchell Robinson completed our strikeout, scoring just 2 points. He shot 50% from the field, and managed 10 rebounds as well. It certainly wasn’t a bad game for Robinson. Just not the performance we needed.

And with that, we end the NBA season with an 0-3 record for our last day. It’s a little bitter sweet, but it’s also a good reminder of what prop betting is. There’s lots of passion and research that goes into it, of course. At the end of the day, though, you can’t get too hung up on any single (or in this case, triple) prop.

True success in prop betting is consistency over time.

It’s also yet another reminder that post-season prop betting is very different from the regular season. Strategies change. New roles develop. Teams adapt. We must adapt right alongside them.

That’s something we’ll be working on during the off-season. What about you?

On to the World Cup!

The nice thing about sports is that there is always something to watch. MLB is getting good. The WNBA is heating up if you’re still on a basketball kick. Oh, and the biggest event in the world’s most popular sport is happening right now in North America.

The newsletter will be on pause during the World Cup. We will be back in your inbox come August with MLS content. Not so long after that, we’ll be on the NFL, and the NBA.

For now, we’ll say farewell. This isn’t goodbye, friends. Just, see you soon.

That’s it for today
