Happy Friday, folks. There won't be any NFL games until Sunday, so no new props. However, the Bills and the Detroit Lions did face off in an explosive contest that ended in triumph for Buffalo. We'll take a look at exactly what went down, what it means, and what sort of implications it has for the rest of the season.
First, a quick recap of how yesterday's props played out.
Quick Bets Recap
Last night’s featured picks finished 1–1, with one coming down to half a point.

Jared Goff Over 23.5 completions got there, finishing with 26 completions against Buffalo.
Josh Allen Over 31.5 pass attempts couldn’t quite get over the line. He finished with exactly 31 attempts, leaving us half an attempt short.
What makes that one particularly interesting is the line movement. Allen had been available at Over 30.5 earlier in the day before moving to 31.5. At the earlier number, which we posted on X, the pick did hit. It’s a good example of how much the number you get can matter, even when the underlying read on the player is the same.
We’re tracking these changes at different points before kickoff as we continue evaluating the NFL model.
Bills Vs. Lions Recap
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Detroit Lions 41-31 in a high-scoring thriller of a game that allowed the team to debut a new stadium in exciting fashion.
The game was electric on the offensive end, as seen by the final score, and, like many of us anticipated going in, it wound up being a contest between quarterbacks.
Josh Allen absolutely stole the show, throwing three touchdown passes and rushing two more himself. Jared Goff, on the other hand, demonstrated his signature efficiency. Where Allen favored explosive physicality, Goff approached the game more in the fashion of a chess grandmaster, relying on quick precision.
A small side story? The Bills are producing an interesting record. On the one hand, they've won their first two games and demonstrated significant potential. On the other hand, they've also given up 30 points in both games.
Interestingly enough, no team in the entire history of the NFL has ever allowed 30 or more points in their first two showings and still won both games. This fact could have implications down the line.
Clearly, the Bills are impressive offensively, but potentially vulnerable on the defensive end.
