Well, that was not the Thursday night we expected.
Atlanta came into Lambeau 0–2, with just 16 points from their first two games, and without a single offensive possession reaching the red zone.
Then they put 35 points on Green Bay.
Michael Penix Jr. looked comfortable in his first start back, Bijan Robinson ran all over the Packers, and Atlanta finished with nearly 500 yards of offense.
Green Bay, meanwhile, left us with a lot of questions.
Where is the running game? What is going on with Jordan Love? How worried should the Packers be about this offensive line? And after a loss like that at home, is the seat getting hot for Matt LaFleur?.
The Packers escaped New York with an overtime win last week, but there was no escaping this one.
Let’s get into it our picks.
Featured Bets Recap
We went 1–1 on our Thursday Night Football Featured Bets.

Michael Penix Jr under 31.5 pass attempts went almost exactly the way we hoped.
We expected Atlanta to avoid putting too much on Penix in his first start back, and they never had to. He attempted just 25 passes, while the Falcons ran the ball 41 times.
Bijan Robinson did most of the damage with 194 yards on 29 carries, and once Atlanta established control, there was no reason to turn this into a high-volume passing night for Penix.
And then there was Jordan Love.
He had already thrown 32 times before the third quarter was over and eventually finished with an absurd 53!! attempts.
This is a pretty good example of why we keep talking about game script when it comes to passing-attempt props.
We liked the under because Green Bay had shown a desire to establish the run and Love had attempted only 29 passes the previous week. Instead, the Packers ran the ball just nine times all night, fell behind and spent most of the second half throwing.
The result wasn’t close. The read was just wrong.
We finish Thursday 1–1.
So… What Is Going On in Green Bay?

Three weeks into the season, Green Bay is 1–2, and even that one win was in overtime against the Jets.
Thursday night was easily the most concerning performance yet.
Atlanta lost 34–3 to Carolina last week. They couldn’t even reach the end zone in their first two games. Then they walked into Lambeau and piled up 498 yards, rushed for 250+ and scored 35 points.
And somehow the offense might be just as concerning.
Green Bay ran the football nine times.
Nine.
That left Jordan Love throwing 53 times. He completed 28 for 312 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, but Green Bay struggled to move the ball for most of the night.
That’s now three very different games from Love: 42 attempts in Week 1, 29 in Week 2 and 53 last night.
The offensive line has struggled, the running game has gone nowhere, and Green Bay simply hasn’t looked good through three weeks.
It’s still September, so there’s plenty of football left.
But after getting blown out at home by an 0–2 Falcons team, there are suddenly a lot more questions in Green Bay than there were three weeks ago.
