So… should the Seahawks start thinking about bringing back Drew Lock?

Because Sam Darnold has been awful since returning from injury.

Another two interceptions last night, that’s now seven in his last four games. He also attempted 51 passes, completed just 27, and somehow failed to throw a single touchdown.

And some of those throws were just terrible.

Seattle had plenty of chances to win this game. Their defense held Bo Nix to just 107 passing yards, but Darnold kept giving the ball away.

They forced overtime, only to give the ball away again and lose 17–14. That’s two straight losses for the Seahawks, who are now 3–3 and falling further behind the undefeated Niners.

On the other side, Bo Nix got his win, but it was an ugly one.

He completed 17 of 27 passes for just 107 yards, with no touchdowns. Denver’s defense did most of the work, picking off Darnold twice and sacking him five times despite missing Pat Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga.

The Broncos are now 4–2, but Sean Payton still has a lot of work to do with this offense.

He took over play-calling last week, and Denver has struggled to move the ball in both games since. Nix hasn’t looked comfortable, and the Broncos are relying heavily on their defense to win games.

Still, they’ll happily take another to keep pace with the Chiefs in the AFC West.

We had two picks for last night’s game, let’s see how they did.

Let’s start with Sam Darnold under 30.5 passing attempts.

That one wasn’t even close. Darnold finished with 51 attempts, completing 27 of them on his way to two horrible interceptions and a loss.

Some of his throws were landing 50 yards in front of JSN.

Seattle kept throwing as they tried to get back into the game, and overtime only made things worse for our under.

Bo Nix under 34.5 passing attempts was a much better result.

He finished with just 27 attempts, completing 17 of them for 107 yards. Denver struggled offensively, but their defense kept them in the game, and they eventually got the win in overtime.

So we split the two picks, with Nix hitting comfortably and Darnold missing by a wide margin.

We’ll take the 1–1 and move on to Sunday’s slate.
