Knicks secured a 2-0 start to the series in a photo-finish win over the Spurs. New York is undeniably dominant. That said, the Spurs have made them work hard for both of their wins.

Can San Antonio dig themselves out of the hole they are now in? We will look at that later. First, let’s see how last night’s picks did.

Last Night’s Featured bets delivered with 2 hits and 1 miss.

We needed at least 3 rebounds out of Luke Kornet. He gave us exactly that many in an otherwise very quiet eight minutes of playtime.

We were on the money with Miles McBride as well—even if he also met the over without room to spare. McBride collected 2 rebounds playing eighteen minutes against the Spurs.

We missed only on Keldon Johnson. The forward scored a scant 3 points, shooting 25% from the field. A cold hand, coupled with only a handful of attempts led to a quiet game.

Hey, two out of three isn’t bad. How did your picks do?

Knicks Have All The Momentum. What Happens Next?

It’s hard to make a case against New York at this point. Their 13 game winning streak is the second longest in post-season history. We’re talking about a team whose last loss came in April.

The Spurs have had a much harder fought path to the Finals by comparison. They went seven games against the Thunder just to secure their spot and have lost eight games in total during their post-season campaign.

Still, to call this a David and Goliath situation might be a stretch. Knicks do have all of the momentum, but the Spurs have already proven that they can outlast great teams. They did it every step of the way just to get where they are right now.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the Finals series to this point has been very close. Game 1 did end with a ten point margin, but even that is slightly misleading. The Spurs were actually leading by ten with two minutes on the clock. Were it not for an 11-0 run from the Knicks, the series would be looking quite different right now.

And last night’s one point win was secured by a Jalen Brunson free throw with seconds to play.

The Knicks are undeniably advantaged going into Game 3. Even if the Spurs do pull out a win they will be fighting against the current for the remainder of the series.

That doesn’t mean they can’t do it. Right now, they just need a bit of momentum. A little Finals magic that will help them go from two close losses to a couple of decisive wins.

The way that they are playing right now, that is absolutely possible. That said, there is no time to postpone the comeback. If they can’t manage a win in Game 3, they will have an incredibly difficult time winning the series.

That’s it for today
