The Knicks finally gave their fans something to cheer about last night.

After starting 0–3, New York handed Detroit their first loss of the season. Karl-Anthony Towns put up 27 points and 20 rebounds, and now the question is whether the Knicks can build on that performance.

Boston also got the win, although they had a much tougher night than expected against Brooklyn. The Celtics needed 40 points from Jayson Tatum and overtime to get past the Nets by just one point.

Meanwhile, things aren’t looking great in Sacramento. The Kings are now 0–4 after another rough night, this time giving up 80 points in the first half to the Spurs.

And the late game in LA had its own surprise. Luka Dončić dropped 41 points, but Portland still managed to walk away with the win, handing the Lakers their first loss of the season.

We had a few picks on last night’s slate too, so let’s see how they did.

A tougher night after yesterday’s big day. We finished 1–2.

Karl-Anthony Towns under 19.5 points was our first miss. He finished with 27 points and 20 rebounds as the Knicks picked up their first win. He had already cleared our line before the third quarter ended.

De’Andre Hunter over 8.5 points came through comfortably. After scoring just 17 points across his first three games, he dropped 24 against San Antonio.

Victor Wembanyama under 27.5 points also missed. Wemby put up 29 points in just 27 minutes as the Spurs cruised past Sacramento.

Hunter gave us a winner, but Towns and Wemby made it a losing night.

Single-prop picks where our model sees an edge over the odds.

Denver and New Orleans meet again tonight, just four days after their wild overtime game where the Nuggets came back from 22 points down to win 141–135.

Nikola Jokić had 35 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists in that game, but Denver followed it up with a disappointing loss to Golden State.

Jokić is averaging 22.3 points through three games, shooting just 41.7% from the field. With the Nuggets still trying to find some consistency, we’re taking him under 26.5 points tonight.

Meanwhile, Houston heads to Milwaukee looking to keep their unbeaten start going, though the Rockets have some problems with their big men.

Alperen Şengün is out with a back injury, while Steven Adams is also sidelined with a calf problem. That could mean more minutes for Clint Capela, who has averaged just 7.7 minutes and 1.3 points so far.

Even with the potential increase in playing time, our model is backing Capela under 6.5 points against the Bucks.

Finally, we’ve got another LA matchup tonight, with the Lakers visiting the Clippers just five days after beating them 125–117.

Luka Dončić has been ridiculous to start the season. He’s averaging 36 points and has scored 52 and 41 in his last two games, though they lost to Portland last night.

Now he’s playing on consecutive nights against a Clippers team that has had a couple of days to rest.

We’re taking Luka under 32.5 points, which might be our most interesting pick of the night given how well he’s been scoring.

Let’s see how these play out.
