The NFL made its way to Melbourne last night. The Niners faced off against the Rams for a 27-7 San Francisco win. The production quality was mildly lampooned in the social media sphere, with complaints pertaining specifically to the sound quality. That didn't stop the Jonas Brothers from making a triumphant appearance at the halftime show.

International play is an important part of the NFL strategy going forward. This outing will play an important role in shaping future overseas games. Hopefully the league can iron out the kinks.

There are no games today, which also means no props. That said, there is plenty of news to cover.

Let's get into it, shall we?

Quick Bets Recap

Last Night’s Quick bets delivered three hits!

We had Matthew Stafford at under 34 pass attempts. That one was a hit. He managed only 25.

We also had Stafford at under 24 completions, which came back with another W. Stafford had 15.

Brock Purdy had a strong performance last night, but still just barely met our under with 34 pass attempts.

For those who tuned in yesterday, you'll know that this is a bit of a comeback story for us. Our first prop picks of the season went 0-3, so it's nice to accumulate a few wins.

Melbourne Game Fallout

There were good things that took place in the Rams-49ers game. For example, Brock Purdy put on a career performance, throwing a 39-yard touchdown to DeMarcus Robinson to anchor the 49ers' victory. The Rams, meanwhile, pulled Matthew Stafford with three minutes to play, giving Stetson Bennett his NFL debut in a risk free (the game was already lost) setting that at least allowed him to get his feet wet.

After, some fans complained about Netflix's production quality, with quotes like, "It's almost unwatchable," circulating around the internet. Streaming services owning the rights to certain games is an increasingly prominent but still new phenomenon, and one that sometimes rubs fans the wrong way. After all, how many streaming services does a person need to watch all of their favorite sports and teams? Possibly quite a few. That, along with the lopsided nature of the game, left some people feeling slightly disenchanted.

Injury News

Sam Darnold was pulled out of the Wednesday opener following an early injury. Naturally, fans worried both for his health and for what a prolonged absence could mean for the Seahawks' season. Both concerns are now being eased by early reports that the quarterback's hip injury is not as serious as it first seemed. That said, Darnold will miss Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Patriots have also been hit with a setback. A.J. Brown suffered an ankle sprain and is expected to miss the next four weeks.
